Prof. David Karasik, PhD

Chairman, Scientific Advisory Board

Prof. David Karasik is an internationally recognized geneticist and aging researcher. He is a Full Professor and Head of the Musculoskeletal Genetics Laboratory at the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, Bar-Ilan University, and an Associate Scientist at Hebrew SeniorLife, Harvard Medical School affiliate, Boston, USA.

His research focuses on the genetic basis of aging-related diseases, including osteoporosis, sarcopenia, metabolic disorders, and complex age-related traits. Prof. Karasik was a founding member of the GEFOS and CHARGE international consortia and is an active contributor to the U.S. TopMED Initiative.

With more than 22,000 citations and an h-index of 66, Prof. Karasik is widely recognized as a leading authority in genomic medicine, aging biology, and translational genetics.

At BioDrop, Prof. Karasik provides strategic scientific guidance on biomarker discovery, multi-omics research, translational medicine, and international scientific collaborations.

Dr. Andis Krumins is a psychiatrist and healthcare executive with over two decades of experience spanning clinical medicine, hospital leadership, clinical research, pharmaceutical governance, and public health. He served as a Board Member of Vidzemes Hospital and held leadership positions in clinical trials, the pharmaceutical industry, and the Latvian Ministry of Health.

Throughout his career, Dr. Krumins has combined patient care with strategic healthcare management, serving as a lecturer in medical education and contributing to the development of Latvia's healthcare system.

At BioDrop, Dr. Krumins provides strategic guidance on clinical translation, healthcare implementation, clinical research, and partnerships with healthcare institutions, helping bridge innovative biomedical technologies with real-world clinical practice.

Dr Minois has a background as a researcher in biology of ageing. She had a 15-year career spanning 5 countries (France, USA, Germany, Austria and the UK) where she held various positions.

Her work gathered over 6000 citations. She holds a Master degree in Behavioural Sciences and Cognitive Neurosciences as well a PhD in Experimental Gerontology.

She then began a career in IT project management, still in scientific environments. She is PMP® (Project Management Professional) certified and has many other qualifications in project and programme management. Dr Minois is now a consultant in project management for science-driven organisations.

At BioDrop, Dr Minois will bring both her scientific and management experience to drive the strategic advancement of the company.
